Intranet

An intranet is where staff go for the things that otherwise live in email threads and shared drives: policies, forms, HR requests, training records, the help desk and company news. It is worth building when people can finish a task there, such as submitting a time-off request that routes to the right manager, and not just find a link to another system.

We build custom intranets that sign staff in through the identity provider you already run, such as Microsoft Entra ID over OpenID Connect or SAML, so there is no separate password to manage. Menus, content and approvals follow role and department from the directory: a new hire sees onboarding tasks, a manager sees requests waiting on them. For each connected HR, payroll or ticketing system we decide how deep to go, from a link to real data sharing such as showing an employee's leave balance pulled from HR. Microsoft's own documentation notes that a "linked" app in a portal gives a consistent place to click but is not true single sign-on, so we check which each system actually supports before promising one sign-in for everything.
