Intranets have become a basic need for companies these days. Whether for basic company information, such as events, file access, and other general information, to HR needs, Training Requirements, Rewards and Recognition systems, Automated Help Desk, intranets are becoming daily required tools. Security is always a concern along with integrating various internal systems into one easy to access sytem can be a challenge. Sometimes the integrations can be accomplished through SSO and "links" to each separate system, or they can be as extensive as truely integrated integrations where data is shared and used between all the systems making for a truely seemless intranet for all types of employees (part-time, full-time, sales, middle-management, upper-management, etc..).
